Thank you for taking an interest in my work this year. It really has been a phenomenal 2015.
When you've cleared away the last of the mince pie trays (no, don't be tempted to keep them for that art project) put them in the recycling bin. Are they in the bin? Good. Just checking!
Now, let’s have a think about all you've done this year. Hopefully you’ll be impressed with yourself. I’m actually feeling a bit chuffed with my achievements.
Go on put the kettle on, or pour a glass of something that tickles your fancy, and have a little trip down 2015 memory lane with me.
I always try and reflect on the past year before moving forward to the next one ahead. This is my sort of ‘decluttering of the mind time’ for me. It gives me a chance to work out what's really working and what's not; to get rid of all the negative stuff, accentuate the positive and power up for the next year.
Give it a try - it's so much better than all those New Year's resolutions. Come the third week in January those failed resolutions will make you feel as sick as your credit card bill!
My 2015 highlights:
- Transformations aplenty. Helping numerous people put into place systems and methods of making their lives easier and that little bit more stress free.
- Working with clients who desperately want to reclaim rooms that have been lost forever under piles of clobber! Seeing their delight when they walk back into rooms that they had given up hope on. They now realise that they do in fact live in a three bedroomed house not a two!
- Managing properties for various clients. Ensuring they are still standing, clean, and with happy tenants so their owners could carry on relaxing in sunnier climes.
- Helping people and businesses at that delightful time when her majesty's representatives are vying for your undivided attention to detail. Yes, yes, we all know that we should've been doing a little bit of tax and VAT sorting each month, but arrrhhh reality! Now you can't think straight let alone find THAT invoice. That's when I usually appear, hole punch and stapler at the ready to save the day.
When I look back on all the different jobs this year, I realise that I've been blessed to work with people that don't make it feel like work at all. I've made good friends, had a laugh and at the same time made a massive difference in peoples' lives.
So go on, if you haven't already, put the kettle on, or grab a glass of something sparkling and celebrate your achievements. You will be amazed at just how great you are actually doing.
Any other negative thoughts are no more than clutter that has to go. Anyway, how else are you going to make room for all the wonderful new experiences that are just waiting round the corner in 2016.
Here's wishing you a very happy, healthy, blessed and exciting 2016. See you there!
